Colonels Lil Remedy "Auburn"
This is my pride and joy "Auburn". He has been color tested ee/Aa/Rr. He has a 50% chance of passing roan on to any of his foals. So far with limited breeding he has produced (dun roan/blue roan/grulla roan/buckskin/red roan) He is a grandson of the legendary "Colonel Freckles" who is an AQHA hall of fame sire with $earnings of $46,305.00 in NCHA, 1976 NCHA Futurity Champion, and offspring earnings of $4 million dollars.  I have been breeding Colonel freckles lines for many years and the intelligence and docile disposition i find in every foal is unsurpassable.  We have a few incredible NRHA mares, and foundation working stock in foal to him this year and are very excited to see his crop. So far he has blessed us with limited breeding 92% roan foals.  12 out of 13 foals have been roan.  Colors he has produced are blue roan/red roan/liver chestnut roan/Dun Roan/Bay Dun Roan/Champagne roan/Buckskin roan/Grulla roan/and one sorrel.  5 colts/8 fillies..  He has a mind and disposition that is very difficult to come by, and he passes on his excellent conformation, trainability and intelligence on to his foals. Auburn is a working ranch horse, and has been shown in cutting/reining/barrels/cowboy races/competiive trail/western pleasure events, and is even a very talented jumper. He was primarily shown in small shows and in the ARHA. He is my main riding horse, so in spite of his great talent and versitility, he has been heavily used at home more than in the arena. However he may be pulled out of retirement this year and put back in the show pen.  We anticipate that his foals will continue on with his atheticism, intelligence, temperment, to excel in any event. Auburn is available at stud this year to a limited amount of outside mares. He is foundation AQHA bred and his pedigree includes Colonel Freckles, Doc bar, Cutter bill, Docs Strawboss and many others that stamped AQHA cow horses from the very begining. We are very proud to own, and stand this very special stallion to the public for the first time this year.
